The US-based company is set to announce a partnership with Pfizer’s global erectile dysfunction (ED) treatment Viagra Connect to develop a potentially effective alternative to its famous blue pill. In a news conference, Pfizer disclosed the product’s name, a potential application, and pricing.
Viagra Connect, which is produced by Pfizer, will be sold in the US in the US starting May 3, with a planned launch in the US beginning in June, the company said. The US launch is expected to take place in the fall.
The US launch of Viagra Connect marks an update to Pfizer’s ED treatment, which had been undergoing rigorous testing by the company’s regulatory body, the US Food and Drug Administration, in June.
In recent years, Viagra has been linked to more serious side effects such as strokes and heart attacks, and some users have sought medical help. This has raised concerns in the medical community as well.
“This is an exciting new opportunity to expand our product portfolio. It is a new approach to providing a more convenient and cost-effective alternative to Viagra that has the potential to improve outcomes for patients,” said Dr. Michael Connolly, a Pfizer clinical pharmacist at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.
Viagra Connect, which has an estimated US retail price of $8.35 per tablet, has been on the market in the US since January of 2023.
In an interview with Fox News Online, Connolly said Pfizer’s decision to launch Viagra Connect was “the first step” in creating a more convenient and cost-effective ED treatment. “It’s a step in the right direction for us and we hope it continues to be a step in that direction,” Connolly said.
Viagra Connect is the first treatment for the underlying condition of erectile dysfunction. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis, which can help men to achieve and sustain an erection. Viagra Connect is not a miracle drug for improving blood flow or erections.
Viagra Connect was first introduced in 1998 as a treatment for pulmonary arterial hypertension. Pfizer has been a part of the company since that company introduced Viagra in 2002.
Viagra Connect has been available in the US since it was introduced, but the US launch is expected to be the largest since Pfizer launched a placebo effect in 1990. Pfizer said the first clinical trial to measure Viagra’s ability to improve erections was conducted in 2002 in the UK and found it to be effective, with a high success rate of 85% for all patients.

We’ve seen a number of positive results with Viagra Connect in the past, and we believe it will be a significant development in the near future.”
